Details

TAKEnergy Inc. seeks to develop a comprehensive database that captures critical information about key electricity markets across North America. The primary goal is to identify the CO2 intensity of each market's grid and determine whether these regions impose carbon taxes on electricity producers. Additionally, the project aims to classify the type of power market in each region, analyze average consumer pricing per kWh, and assess the support for microgrids contributing power to the grid, including the pricing models for microgrid producers. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of energy systems, data analysis, and environmental policy to create a valuable resource for understanding the dynamics of electricity markets and their environmental impacts. The project involves researching, compiling, and organizing data into a user-friendly database that can be utilized by TAKEnergy Inc. for strategic planning and decision-making.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a detailed database containing information on CO2 intensity, carbon tax policies, power market types, consumer pricing, and microgrid support for key North American electricity markets. Additionally, a summary report will be provided, highlighting key findings and insights from the data analysis. The database and report will be structured to facilitate easy access and interpretation, ensuring that TAKEnergy Inc. can leverage this information effectively for their strategic initiatives.
