Working with our Riipen intern on the Language Advocacy Petition project was an incredibly rewarding experience. As a Social Purpose & Impact Manager, I’m always looking for ways to bridge meaningful social issues with practical, real-world learning—and this collaboration did exactly that. Our intern brought fresh energy and thoughtful insight to a complex advocacy initiative focused on equitable language access across Canada. From conducting a social media audit to developing a comprehensive outreach plan and petition strategy, their contributions were both strategic and values-driven. They demonstrated a strong grasp of our campaign’s tone and goals, and their final deliverables—including a graphics portfolio and MP/MPP engagement plan—were not only professional but deeply aligned with our mission. What stood out most was the spirit of collaboration. The intern was receptive to feedback, proactive in problem-solving, and genuinely committed to making an impact. This project wasn’t just a learning opportunity for them—it was a meaningful boost to our advocacy efforts. I would highly recommend the Riipen experience to any organization looking to engage emerging talent in purpose-driven work.
